It started in college—Wade crossed my way,
I was a junior, he just a grade away.

Our friends all mingled, and soon so did we,
Inseparable, happy, just meant to be.
Wade’s huge heart and charm stole my own,
He was the life of the party, never alone.
He says my wit and spunk lit his flame—
Together, we knew life wouldn’t be the same.

Then adventure called—I set sail for the sea,
Semester at Sea in early 2020.

With spotty WiFi and late-night calls,

We navigated time zones, distance, and walls.
Wade tried to visit; a flight to South Africa he’d take,
But a travel ban meant plans had to break.
Yet love proved stronger than any divide—
Five years later, Africa will be our honeymoon ride!

Since then, we’ve tackled life hand in hand,
Growing together and trusting God’s plan.

We've traveled to places we hold so dear—
Out west in the summer, skiing each year,
Summers at the lake with Oakley in tow,
Making memories wherever we go.
Closer to home, life is just as sweet,
Cheering on the Cats on game day weekends,
Sunday night dinners, game nights with friends,
Moments like these we hope never end.

Back in November, a new chapter began,
When Wade popped the question and asked for my hand.
Champagne was poured, and toasts filled the air,
Celebrating with loved ones who all gathered there.

Now, soon enough, we’ll say our "I do’s,"
We cannot wait to celebrate with each and every one of you!
